Finding inspiration for your submission isn't necessarily easy; we know you've got a lot on your mind. So, to help get those creative juices flowing, this post is all about finding inspiration through your own actions - or the actions of others.

Inspiring Yourself:

  • Go for a walk. Seriously. Walking is a great way to clear your mind and let's you lose track of time for a little while. The more nature, the better!

  • Meditate (or practice Yoga): bonus points for doing so outside or in a park

  • Play with or watch a pet interact with nature (you'd be surprised how calming and inspiring this can actually be)

  • Take pictures. Sometimes, looking through a lens is the only way we can see things. Also, they just might end up being your entry!

  • Listen to nature; whether through real life interaction or a recording this can be incredibly calming

  • Brainstorm your ideas! Never underestimate the power of possibilities and writing things down.

  • Take time for yourself. It might mean putting down your phone for a few days or simply just taking a bath. Time to yourself is incredibly valuable for your physical and mental well-being and helps to give you space to find inspiration

  • Reflect on your Student Challenge or other environmental experience, need we say more?

Be Inspired by Others:

  • Dear Future Generations by Prince Ea is a great video to watch when you feel like you need reminding of why the environment matters

  • Planet Earth, the award-winning BBC series originally narrated by David Attenborough (often referred to the king of environment documentaries), is an awe-inspiring documentary capable of inspiring even the least environmentally-conscious of us all

  • Flick through Tinny Buddha for spiritual guidance, wisdom and inspiration

  • Listen to your favourite music

  • Visit an art gallery

  • Watch an inspiring film
